Property Summary

This property certainly brought a smile to my face, I was just blown away with the view and set up of Cherryfield. What a spectacular location, you are literally right on the sea – there is just so much potential here – a Dermot Bannon house. The house just sits there looking at the harbour – you are completely exposed to the sea and the elements – fantastic. Your imagination regarding the house could run wild.

Cherryfield is a 4 bedroom detached bungalow built in the late 70’s sitting on 1.8 acres of land approximately complete with stables. You are south facing and totally private – just magical.

The house is in good condition but does need some work but nothing major – just a bit of TLC. Probably the work that needs to be done the most is the sunroom off the main house but again this can easily be done and brought right into the 21st century in order to maximise the views.

On approach to the house you have a sweeping driveway, one enters the house via the sunroom which in turn leads to the sitting room on one side and entrance hall on the other. Dining room, fitted kitchen with a back door to the back courtyard complete with a detached unit housing the utility room. There are 4 bedrooms all double and a main bathroom with both a bath and shower. The decked area more or less wraps itself around the front of the house.

The site itself is a big site with plenty of room for maybe another site or indeed horses etc. you do not have access to the water other then climbing down to the rocks but the sea is below you.

Glenmore has its own strand ideal for swimming. You are only a 2 mile walk to Ballymore village and the local primary and pre-school. Cobh town itself is a 5 mile walk and one doesn’t have to go in Cobh town to get to Glenmore or indeed the city.

This property is ideal for the person who wants to embrace the sea and all that goes with it. Ideal for the sailor, kayaker, walker, retiree or indeed the trader upper. Nice property and definitely worth a visit.
